Edia and Tuoyo's Cape Town Wedding
Edia and Tuoyo’s wedding took us to Cape Town and had a journey to beautiful Franschhoek, South Africa. Despite it been our first out-of-Nigeria wedding, the bride and the groom trusted us to design, plan and execute their wedding from start to finish and as planners this means more than our clients know.
There is a #WhenGodIsInvolved story behind the church ceremony. It rained heavily the morning and early afternoon of the wedding and we had to move the church ceremony indoors because the grass was wet, the grounds were slippery and it was cold. I told the bride about the weather situation and that was the first time I saw her face fall at the thought of having an indoor wedding. I headed to the venue praying silently the entire way and when I arrived the rain stopped! The decorators had already started setting up indoors so we had to get them to move everything back outside with an hour and a half until the start of the ceremony. We all had to physically carry items and rush the setup but we managed to finish with 15 mins to spare. #AmazingGrace#NotByOurStrength .
Working with Garth and the @lushflowers team was a total dream. They over delivered on our design brief and literally delivered a Pinterest worthy reception venue. Our favourite part of the decor were all the gorgeous fresh florals in the space in our blush and pale blue tones by and the floral photo frame which was the star of the ceremony.
To round off the wedding celebrations, we took the #CCCertifiedAfterParty all the way to SA! @laparisestate has never seen a Nigerian party like this before!
